jmurray01
I thought the result isn't announced til the morning, around 7am I think I read? That is correct. The coverage from 10:40 to 06:00 on STV will give the results for individual constituencies however.
The Dark Knight
Victory for the no vote! The right result. Scotland get more powers anyway so they still get a good result. Would have been bad news if it was yes.
mixmasterlooney
Exactly in my opinion best of both worlds. No loss for the people and government gets more power
Phil 87
Good result :). I'm glad Scotland is still part of UK, but no doubt there will be lots of unhappy people today.
Ianb
Well I suppose it means we don't have to create camps for what would be all the newly illegal immigrants Naturally there is going to be a bunch of happy people and a bunch of miserable people... Can't avoid that really... Sent via carrier pigeon using Ford OC
jeebowhite
Definitely a good result although I haven't heard what these extra powers are, do the government get to wear capes and underwear outside trousers? :-P

Phil 87
I haven't looked into any of this myself but it would be interesting to see how the vote went according to age, if that's even possible, or at least a survey to see which age groups voted more towards yes or no. Maybe the younger generations wanted independence more (even if for the wrong reasons) so maybe if this happens again in a few years it could be a different outcome.

And I see a whole army of my countrymen, here in defiance of tyranny! You have come to fight as free men. And free man you are! What will you do without freedom? Will you fight?" "Two thousand against ten?" - the veteran shouted. "No! We will run - and live!" "Yes!" Wallace shouted back. "Fight and you may die. Run and you will live at least awhile. And dying in your bed many years from now, would you be willing to trade all the days from this day to that for one chance, just one chance, to come back here as young men and tell our enemies that they may take our lives but they will never take our freedom!" Ianb
i much prefer mr wallace's speech too this one ha It's a shame that Braveheart was such a pile of cack.. The 'actual' events were just as impressive (if not more) than the movie, so I don't understand why Hollywood had to bastardise the whole thing... Ianb
Aye there's nothing wrong with de speach though Well I suppose not, it has it's place. There is nothing particularly wrong with the movie either, if it wasn't incorrectly depicting history...but as for the movie itself, it's a good yarn, but for me it's a bit like making a WW2 movie and having robots fighting in it - not exactly necessary or accurate..
