Raoulbouncing
Hi folks remember the whooshing noise related to acceleration. Well now twice whilst driving the dreaded red cog and exclamation mark have appeared. Reading up on various posts and queries online I have seen mention of glow plugs and relays and the same burst or leaking intake pipe. Any other takes on my problems. Engine sounds and drives fine. Not in limp home mode. Consumption roughly 45mpg. Noticed a slight cloud behind me on accelerating but this is to be expected with a diesel no? Help guys...my new car has got me rattled. I travel 150 miles+ daily for my job. Rory
Stoney871
I would say that it is very likely the intercooler hose. The whooshing noise is a dead giveaway. Look for damp spots or obvious splits on the upper hose. Be aware that the split may be in an obscure location on the hose and not instantly visible.
