jsayers169
Hi everyone, my 1st post on here as i have not long ago purchased my 1st car after passing 11 months ago and saving for 11 months to buy the car i've always liked. I have a strange problem with my driver side air vent, all of the other dash mounted vents work apart from this one which is quite annoying! i've managed to pull the vent out to have a look and i haven't got a clue what to look for so just left it at that! Also i turned the fans on while it was removed and can't feel a breeze coming through the black tube that lurks within, also as a quick note i do have air con. Has anyone else had this issue and can you please assist me with it? If it is time consuming i'll just go to a garage but i would quite like to see if i can remedy it myself with help! Any help would be greatly appreciated.
AdeMk1
Did you turn the direction dial to vent? I assume you did if the other vents are working ok. Sounds like the pipe may have come off the heater blower behind the dash for some reason? Remove the lower part of the dashboard under the steering wheel (6 screws from memory) and have a quick look (you're looking for a black plastic pipe that runs from the vent to the heater blower). Also put the blower on and have a feel about with your hand while you're there and see if you can feel air escaping from anywhere, may be a hole in the pipe or some kind of blockage. :) EDIT: And welcome to the forum!
