Hi all - the rear Ford Oval badge has seen better days, so have ordered a new one... Question is how do you remove the old one?

Any guides anywhere?

TIA

you should have done this last year! ford were offering free badge replacements for any cars upto 10 years old

to remove it its probably best to use a heat gun and then a thin string to slice the old badge out

Yeah, so I gather! Missed the bus this time... only £20 to buy one though.

So, its just stuck on with double sided adhesive?

Easy option is order a gel badge that just goes over the top he's gun will work but can distort the surround dmb gel badges are cheaper last longer come in different colors and stick on over the top

They're really well stuck on if mine was anything to go by - I used a hair drier plus snipped cuts into the top edge of the badge so I could peel these up and get a screwdriver or similar behind the badge to help persuade it off.

Plastic push-bike tyre lever would do the same job and really handy for not damaging paintwork etc. Cheap as chips too ;)
