Ford Focus 1.8 tdci 2007 movement under my feet

Hi all I have this problem that when I'm turning or coming of a roundabout I keep getting movement under my left foot there is no sound I can only feel movement I've had the car checked at 2 different garages and both say there isn't a problem but to me if you can feel something then there is a problem any ideas guys uv had both my bottom arms changed a garage said they had gone but still no different

I know exactly what your problem is as I've had it myself.

You are resting your toe against the steering column shaft that protrudes into the footwell behind the clutch pedal.

I found it annoying at first in My old MK2 but in time I just learned to position my foot a bit further left and back so my toes didn't push against the footwell/firewall.

I always felt that by the simple addition of a small protective cover this would never be an issue.

Thanks Eva so much it's been doing my nut in as it didn't do it when I bought the car it started doing it after about a year of owning it

Had that on my pug 206. French folk must have tiny little feet.

Could be something as simple as different shoes, surprising how much difference that makes.

In my work boots I miss the steering knuckle but in my civvy boots I catch it.
