Arthur
Hi, Is there any difference between fitting a blanking plate to the manifold or EGR end on my 2003 focus 1.8 tdci ghia? (The bolts at the EGR end are a bit trickier to get to than those at the manifold end, being 'upside down'). Ta!!
jeebowhite
I have myself, blanked the EGR off on my Mondeo at the manifold end, rather than the top end. It makes no odds at all, but in fact is better for the car. I say this, as blanking the top end took a weakened structure and turned it into a flag... it ruptured the EGR pipe and blew it clean off. Being at the manifold end, it saves that agro.
