simcor
The most important question would be is the car a MK1 or a MK2? I assume the MK1 cluster probably uses standard 501 bulbs and a coloured gel sheet for the back lighting colour. That is speculation on my part though as I'm not sure about the MK1, the MK2 however uses SMD (surface mount diodes) soldered to the board of the HEC so they can only be changed by removing then and soldering new ones in the colour required. I doubt the MK1 clusters used SMD'S but as I say that it a guess on my part.

Hellboy80
I believe the bulbs in the Mk1 are SMD to. Well they was on my MK1.5. The only one that you can change without soldering is the LCD one.
