Sarah Bennett
Hi, I have a Ford Fiesta titanium x, 12 plate and on Friday it wouldn't lock. Then it locked and it wouldn't open. AA came out and got in manually then it wouldn't start. The display on dash kept going through faults, such as engine fault, immobiliser fault, tyre fault, service immediately. AA got it started & advised to take it to Ford garage. Ford couldn't find fault. Then advised to do a software update. Did update and another diagnostics test and said there was a fault with radio that was causing all the problems. Need new radio which costs £480 plus fitting plus vat. Will be around £700 all in all. I cannot believe that a car radio can render your car as no good without fixing it and how much it is going to cost. Can anyone give me any advice on this please. Thank you in advance. X Buy a replacement like for like second hand off eBay or on here if one is available and fit it yourself - not a massive job and should see you right for under £
Jordan99
Check your fuses first, a guy on here (lenny) helped me with a problem with my head unit which caused a few electrical errors elsewhere in the car. Luckily it turned out to be a blown 7.5 fuse.
