dtulip8
Hi all, The 3 button remote key on my jalopy is beginning to irritate me as its ugly and doesn't always lock/unlock the car. I would like to take the opportunity to upgrade it to a shiny new flip key, using the one on eBay where they cut your key based on pictures of it (will post link later). Could someone please guide me through how to programme the key to unlock/lock the car and how to,get it working with the immobiliser (assuming I'll need an OBD cable if this bit can be DIY'd)? many thanks Dan
Jonro2009
I’m not sure anyone is likely to teach you ‘how to steal a car’ lol. Not saying that you are cloning keys etc but there are many unscrupulous people who lurk around forums to gain information. With all the keyless entry cars being stolen it’s maybe not the best thing to ask. You are best off getting the key cut and then getting ford to code it for you. You can obviously do it yourself using kit and software that is legal to buy on eBay for the price of a decent meal out but I wouldn’t expect a tutorial.
dtulip8
I understand it sounds a bit dodgy, but was just hoping to upgrade my key as the old ones a bit naff. Anyway it’s a fair point.
