racingmars
Hi all, I have a 57 plated S-Max, the 1.8 variant. I have a problem, in that the temp gauge on the dashboard stays at 0 most of the time. It occasionally drifts up to the 1/4 marker, but then drops straight back down. The sender unit has been replaced, as have the glow plugs. According the Haynes manual, the 1.8 is the only one in the range to have a 'cylinder head temp sensor', but I cannot find this at any parts supplier, as they all refer to the illustration in the manual as an oil pressure sensor. If I search for the temp sensor, I get a different part coming up. Could anyone advise/guide me on this? Has anyone else had the same issue? TomsFocus
Has the thermostat been checked/replaced? Sounds like it might be stuck open.
