brfc Posted February 25, 2019 Share Posted February 25, 2019 Hi I bought a Ford Galaxy 62 Plate 2.0 auto diesel about 2 months, already have had to change the alternator and battery. But as i cannot find any documentation that the cam belt/water pump has been done and its currently on 108k when is the best time to get this done? Also when changing the alternator the garage said i should change the pully, but quoted me £201 for just the past, so i declined, how much should i be paying (i know getting it changed at the same time as the alternator would have been little to no labour) but the costs of the part was too high, as i could find it at eurocarparts for £77? Also, i have a message on my screen saying child lock malfunction and i noticed this morning, that even after the car is locked, it stays on, could this be draining the battery, as i changed the battery on Saturday?
