Hi Andrew, as mentioned in several threads, the Wi-Fi update is not currently operative in UK and several members have been advised by their dealers to turn off auto updates. Dealers generally seem wi

I find TSR and speed alert a useful feature on the Fiesta which works well - most of the time. As you say, it is affected by GPS not being up to date, but also by signs not being picked up because the

I had same issue and resolved it the same way. I guess the website must read the device IP address. Didnt happen after previous updates Wonder how a third party checks the status ?. Incidentally

Cheers Comares 👍

It's stopped downloading at 17%....I've tried starting the download again, but nothing is happening 😩

You could try using a standalone downloader program.
Windows just fails the download and you have to start over.
A downloader would restart from the fail point so less faffing.
Take a look at JDownloader.

Cheers Stoney...I've just re-booted the laptop and have managed to get it downloading again. If it stops again then I will give that a try 👍

Finally downloaded and un-zipped to USB.

Good luck with the install.
Make sure you unplug all other usb devices and you should do ok.

Hmmm...1 hr 20 in and I've just got an error code SIGN_ERR02.

It says to download the files again and retry to install 😭😭😭

SIGN_ERR02 -
Error is
- SIGN_HASH_VALUE_MISMATCH

So what does that mean ???

I've just had to go out in the car and the maps have updated to F8 (the industrial estate that I couldn't find on the old maps is now on there) and the satnav tracking seems to work fine !!

Basically some lines of code conflict with other lines.
It's the computer equivalent of making 1+1 equal 3.
Most likely to do with the check file that gets added to the usb drive for uploading back to Ford.
Tbh if it seems to be working ok then don't worry.

Thanks again, Stoney...will try it out this week and see how it goes 👍

I’ve given up completely, tried everything that’s been suggested. The sync system isn’t even picking up the flash drive now[emoji22]

a683bd66986b6b73861981e721f945f6.jpg is this how it should look in the flash drive??

All the tar.gz files should be in their original syncmyride folder.
You've extracted the files down one folder too far.

Thanks, can I put them back together or is it another download??

Indeed, just create an empty folder with the correct name and drag / drop all the tar.gz files into it.

Thanks, it seems to have separated when I moved it to the root of the drive. Will try and fix it later, there must be an easier way Ford could come up with[emoji2369]

I have to do that all the time. Ford don't use the correct 'relative path' format when they zip up the files, so whilst unzipping works in Windows, if you try it with Linux or a Mac then the unzip creates files with the full path names including SyncMyRide\. So, since I use Linux almost exclusively, I have to rename and move the files manually. The update works fine having done that though.

I’m going to give it one more go sometime this week, you never know.
