Internal light refusing to turn off

Hi, just recently brought a Mk8 fiesta st-line, and was wondering if there is an actual issue with the car or I'm just being thick.

My back internal light refuses to turn off, not matter how many times i push it.

I have looked in the owners manual and it should just automatically turn off once the doors are closed.

It turns off still when the car is parked.

As someone who does a lot of night driving its a constant annoyance as it affects my vision while driving.

Anyone else experienced a similar issue?
