Mitchconnop
Hi thanks for reading. Recently purchased (april) a focus 65 plate 1.5tdci 28 thousand on purchase now 38000 miles. Decided to service myself. Having removed the concertina air pipe to get to the oil filter I found there was oil in this pipe. Not a massive amount but just enough to fill some of the grooves in the pipe. I can see what looks like the turbo just downstream of this. No oil in the air filter itself. Any ideas. It is still under 12 months warranty but would like to know if this is major or normal? Ideas suggestions gratefully received thanks. Tebba
Hi, it's normal for these to have a small amount of oil in that pipe, my 1.5 has done just under 12k and is the same, all the 1.6 tdci I have owned have been like it too so I wouldn't worry about it.
