rupert smales Posted October 25, 2019 Share Posted October 25, 2019 The tailgate won't open without manual assistance if the car is parked facing downhill. It makes no difference whether I use the dashboard switch, key fob or tailgate latch. I had the same problem and a more serious self opening whilst moving problem with a 2016 Galaxy. The dealer never managed to fix it and arranged for me to have a new car at a discount. The dealer claims that I am a one off but I have read of other Ford models having similar problems with tailgate opening.
