It’s worked every time till now.

Is it the modem that makes the remote start work?

I haven't got this feature but was reading up on it recently, found a few troubleshooting things on Ford site.

Troubleshooting

The remote start system will not work if:

  • The ignition is on.

  • The alarm system is triggered.

  • You disable the feature.

  • The hood is open.

  • The transmission is not in park (P).

  • The vehicle battery voltage is too low.

  • The service engine soon light is on.

The only one it could be is the battery. Although I’ve not had a problem with it yet.

I tried it again half hour ago..it worked.

It goes into park itself when I turn the engine off.

Cheers for the info.
