I've written a note to my new supervisor explainng the situation and asking (well, begging) for the holiday However, i have found a loop hole!!! The store closes at 7.00pm my shift starts at 7.00pm They make it out as i have to bring my hours forward. HOWEVER technically and legally i have to do no such thing as it is out of my control that the store is closed. No pay? But I suppose your right, you can say you wont be able to do anything other than your contracted hours on that day. So you shouldn't have a problem.
