Mk4 auto into limp mode on a roundabout

First and only time this has happened. Just off fast lane on the motorway onto a roundabout, I’m not sure what Ford call limp mode but that’s what it was. Got 30 feet off roundabout, alert on dash said “put in Park and restart engine “ did that , it worked. Went for an extended run to see if it would happen again, it didn’t. Anyone else had this?

It should have logged a fault. I’d get it back to your dealer to investigate.

So the car will record that there’s been a fault? Then a diagnostic tool will read that?

It should have done as an error message was shown.

It will need something Ford specific to read it, a generic reader is unlikely to pick it up. Something like Forscan should if it supports the mk4.

In the app, in Vehicle Support I’ve got 3 options : How-to Videos, Alerts Guide , and Accessories Catalogue.

Have you guys got : My Vehicles Health Setup .

As an option?

I’m not getting that as an option!

I need that option for VHA connection setup.

Ive looked at FordPass in the car, There’s no Vehicle Health Alerts.
