ozunadel
Hey all, I have a 55 plate ford focus with the 2.0 TDCI. I’ve had a persistent P2409 code and i’m fairly certain it’s causing DPF issues. It does still have a DPF as the regen shows a restriction. I haven’t been able to find an location of the so called magnet or anything about the system. ForScan hasn’t been much help either. I haven’t looked at the back side of the filler flap area either. But the sensor is pictured here: From https%3A%2F%2Fworkshop-manuals.com%2Fford%2Ffocus_2004.75_07.2004%2Fmechanical_repairs%2F3_powertrain%2F303_engine%2F303-04f_fuel_charging_and_controls_1.6l_duratorq-tdci_%28dv%29_diesel%2Fdescription_and_operation%2Ffuel_charging_and_controls_vehicles_with_diesel_particulate_filter_%28dpf%29%2F&psig=AOvVaw2yKmKZm4UeDwutaX2tF3P8&ust=1575327135060297 I suspect this is up in the wheel arch, the liner would have to be removed to see it. The magnet must be on the flap hinge, to come close to it. It is wired direct to the FACM (Fuel Additive Control Module), under the rear seat inside the car.
