Problem with that for me is (aside from the fact I no longer have a credit card) I always fill my cars up to the brim with fuel, whereas with the pay at pump you have to select a specific amount which is either more than you can fit in the tank or not enough.

Can't you do a 'full tank' on pay at pump?

That's what I do with the BP app.  Select £75 max, knowing I'll only get around £55 in.  It 'ringfences' the £75 but only takes what you've used afterwards.  Of course, I only fill up after payday and make it last!  Can't be dealing with putting in a fiver here and there lol.

I don't need fuel yet (filled up in March, and even at my now increased usage won't need fuel for at least another month!) but I see the local BP is considerably more than the supermarkets this week, when it used to be the same...so I'm tempted to try Tesco's pay at pump next time...but only if you can do a full tank as with the BP app.

I do like getting the all clear from the doctor further to a cancer scare.  Still got lots of problems in my life but at least now I've (hopefully) got a lot of time to deal with them.

  • I do like finally finishing a model kit I first started 5 and a half years ago.  It's a very special model that i was supposed to finish by the time the aircraft took her final flights across the UK

Tesco pay at pump indeed has a selectable target amount ability but you can fill to brim by default.
I use Tesco's all the time for their Momentum 99 fuel.

Yes, I always just put in what I want (usually brim it), which is the default option. You have to specifically select the preset amount option.

What's the exact procedure?  Press 'pay at pump', then put in your card and PIN?  Select the amount?  Then fill up?

So easy I've never really taken that much notice, tbh. But, iirc, yes - press pay at pump, follow the prompts which tell you to put your card in, then PIN. It is then pre authorised up to (I think) about £99. You then remove card, and just fill as normal, unless you select one of the fixed amounts using the buttons. It asks if you want a receipt so press yes or no for that. I always get one otherwise I forget what I've spent! So far my card statement has always tallied with the receipts, btw.😃 Replace the nozzle as normal and drive off.

Doesn't sound too difficult then!

Got my new wheels fitted on yesterday. Was changing them yesterday in the blazing heat on the driveway

Ah right I never knew that!  If I ever have a card capable of using that service again then I'll know, unlikely though...

Ooo you never told me about that toyota. Definitely they'd look good on there.

They are bola B1. Have to say the wheels on you toyota go well with the red interior.

Yeah so many people are saying to lower it 😂. Was looking at a set of springs 35mm. Don't want it too low that people would notice and that the wheels start to scrub.

Why you using a different profile?

Thanks,

I've had my focus lowered on eibach 35mm springs and it never scrapes, but handles alot better; if funds allow I highly recommend a "whiteline" rear antiroll bar to compliment the handling as the existing one will be under increased load, where a thicker one will increase the stability even further but it will be enhanced by just the springs,

also tracking alignment after lowering is a must do;

Anyway; that cover image is one that the forum has automatically chosen for that thread; it's not my Levin it's a Toyota Starlet GT with a varis body kit, I've never had that vehicle 😅 I did have a Starlet Glanza replica as my first car though. If you click the link to the thread you will see the Levin.

Anyway; changed the profile for tax purposes 😂 here's the quote from a previous post to explain

"long storey,

two years ago my email address got hacked and I was locked out of it ever since then; however I was still able to continue logging in to the forum using my phone which remained logged in,

last week our eldest dropped her phone down a drain in to water and required a replacement; especially during the current pandemic it is essential for her to maintain communication with her friends, I wasn't currently in a position to replace her phone with something descent quality at present as I'm currently preparing three of them for the next school year which is costing almost 2k for books, bags, shoes, trainers and uniform.

Not including the purchase of an additional laptop in preparation for a second wave of lockdown as if/when it happens; I'll have two out of three kids required to be available to communicate with there schools online; at present I have a desktop which is shared but requie an additional device now in preparation for both of them to be available online independently as there is separate schools now due to age.

as result of all that I purchased an Alcatel 1 on Tesco mobile and tried to get it unlocked which wasn't a success, so I've reset my Samsung S8 and given it to my daughter as its unlocked, which meant I've also lost my original profile on here of ten years with over 9,000 likes,

I'm now using an Alcatel 1 for a few months"

I'm actually liking the GTA Online summer update. The new yacht missions are quite fun to do with a couple of mates and we love the new business battle on board the USS Luxington aircraft carrier.
My friends and I also like the changes they made to the open wheel (F1/Indycar) races with proper traffic light start, a vehicle damage map next to the mini map and also a beeping sound when you have damage or your tyres are wearing down.

The best bit for me though is that they finally added a car I've wanted in the game for so long, a classic VW Golf (BF Club in GTA).

I do like seeing this pic on an Aberdeen news site taken from the UK Cop Humour Facebook page. Apparently the driver will, from this day forward, be known as PC Rowboatcop 😃

That screw will be rusty by the time it's allowed on the road...

Yeah , I know, cheapest screws you can buy.

This car care kit supposed to be £101 on amazon, but due to a pricing error I got it for £12! They fixed the error after about 5 mins and I expected that they would then cancel the order, but it delivered today.

Good catch 🙌. Recommend the tire gel. My bottle of that stuff has lasted around 4 years and I haven't even used half a bottle.

😂 Yeah,

Been a very busy week preparing the kids for there next term in school as well as working 50 hours across six days ending tomorrow; and completing a pretty detailed PowerPoint presentation on a project to save the company 40k per annum which I completed entirely on my spare time off work in an effort to be an instant savings impact rather than a temporary escape from my daily role.

I hope to be back online tomorrow evening as I have a nice item to share with you guys; bought a fold out desk for our sons room it's pretty cool.

I'm getting stressed out about jobs. Been applying to around 8 jobs now and 5 I didn't even get shortlisted for. I blame the CoronaVirus and it increasing the unemployment population. Makes me worried what career I'll get into.

This hasn't been a good year for me. Heard the girl I liked got married however god showed me she wasn't the nice person I thought she was so dodged a bullet. Don't know what grade I'll get in my masters though hopefully from what I've seen jobs don't really ask what grade you have in a masters just that you have it and now this with job searching.

I might start off as a medical lab assistant then see if there are any training opportunities to register as a biomedical scientist. From there work my way up and hopefully with my masters get into more specialised roles or even management. Never knew this is what life is like after school.

Do like my daughter came round to see me today, only seen her twice since lockdown . Downside she wanted service on car and a front wing replacing while she was here  Good job I got nothing else to do this morning . Bought the wing and got it painted at work f.o.c since march and been kicking around in shed.

Kids usually only come round when they want something. Next will be my son, his £800 first car has finally decided it's time for the scrapyard after 2 1/2 yrs cheap motoring.

I am going round to see my mate tomorrow night as he’s had the ABS warning light come on with his Audi A3....the number of “friends” who I only seem to see when they need a service, or have a dash warning light....

On another note, is there anything similar to Forscan (free) that can be downloaded for VAG cars?

@TomsFocus you might know the answer

@The Finance Guy I've got an ABS light come up on the Focus, any chance you could nip up and have a look? 😉😆

Kinda worrying, 05 plate and hear horror stories on what could be the cause! 😳

Must go and get it plugged in as my cheapo reader and App doesn't read it 🙄
