LeeJ
Hi, I have a new shape 2018 focus, when I pull the bonnet release nothing happens and there is on tension there, if I manage to get my fingers in behind the panel in the footwell and put tension on the cable (pull upwards) the lever then works. Does anyone know if maybe the cable may have slipped from a holder somewhere.
Tizer
Someone else on this forum had a similar problem and it seems that the cables on some of the MK4's can stretch and need replaced. Your warranty should cover it.

You've been unlucky, bonnet releases have only been around for about 100 years, so Ford are still trying to develop a system that works. There's a whole design team working flat out on it. Normally, they last at least 10 years before breaking! 🤣
