NOT just the tories, the rest went along with it so ALL culpable. No point nailing a few to the wall.

The ones in government made the decisions to enact, though having said that, Labour wanted lockdown extended even further than government permitted. Though I agree, it wasn't their finest hour for any of them...

It was like a world wide game of 'follow the leader'. The problem was each leader was trying to out stage the other.

In the UK it was giant game of "Simon Says" (or Boris) with no one allowed to even question the rules of the game.

Well Boris, & now the Scottish Queen have been bowled down, only a few left to go

Out of all the world leaders in power I wouldn't trust a single one of them. Each and everyone of them has lied. On a scale of 1 to 10, where 10 is just an out, and out whopping big lie, none of them would score less than 6.

The only Guy that has consistently tried to follow the real science and apply some common sense is the governor of Florida - Ron DeSantis.

I agree!

I also fear that Covid also showed up the massive pitfalls of the advication of doing away with cash.

When one country thought it was a good idea to admonish it's citizens for peacefully protesting against government lockdown mandates. This country wasn't North Korea as you may think, but Canada who unbelievably suspended the bank accounts of protestors.

A very frightening action of any government on it's citizens. Any cry for a cashless society in the UK needs to be resisted with ferocity!

. Persistently asked for scientific proof of the validation of mask wearing, they didn’t release one single report to back it up.

As Paul Simon wrote "a man hears what he wants to hear and disregards the rest".

Peter Hitchens, a consistent sceptic of mask wearing in the Mail, recently drew attention to the  Cochrane review which basically concluded there was no clear evidence that they were effective.

Other "mask sceptical" papers picked up on this, while others debunked it, eg:

Sadly it will be another 20 or 30 years before the full truth comes out.

I'll try and hang on that long, then!😃

Yes, I don't mind waiting 🤣

Cloth and disposable face masks, as useful as a colander in a sandstorm - oh! Who knew how minuscule a virus could be.

. When they locked down our children from attending school (causing a generation of mental health issues), they offered no scientific report to back it up.

According to the stuff now being leaked via the Daily Telegraph, even Chris Whitty saw no compelling reasons in favour of it. They felt "bounced" into it by the policy already implemented in Scotland.

I know I'm preaching to the converted as the saying goes, but I thought @StephenFord would appreciate this little talk by Dr. John Campbell. You are allowed to say "I told you so" at the end 🤣

Really interesting video. It amazes me that despite me having no medical knowledge at all, but a dollop of common sense (passed to me by my mum), I knew from the start (as evidenced from my numerous posts on here), that I knew that wearing masks that had a wider mesh that an actual virus, would have no effect at all.

It's very worrying that our politicians, who I absolutely do not expect at all to have medical knowledge, but should be imbued with common sense, have proved themselves to have none.

It would be far too crass to state, 'I told you so...' but....

When i was the first to mention Dr. John Campbell on here about educating us all on Covid he was dismissed for not being credible. It turns out he’s one of the most trusted and respected medical professionals on the subject.

Of course, Matt Hancock is a close second :laughing::laughing:

Matt Hancocks stupidity aside, no journalist will now EVER be trusted. Is there not a legal precedent for Isabels behaviour ?

Yes, she can be sued for breaking her, 'non disclosure' clause. However, she's already stated that she's prepared for any consequences, and will have an open cheque book offered to her from many backers, including her partner Richard Tice (Leader of Reform Party), who is quite wealthy!

As for journalists not being trusted, politicians will always put that aside and 'trust' them as their ego is simply so huge!

There's a large amount of legal precedent where the court has found that the public interest trumps breach of, for example,  a confidentiality agreement, which it appears is the defence Ms Oakeshott will rely on should Matt Hancock decide to sue.

Matt has already publicly stated that all the stuff she released, he had already passed on to the public enquiry, so it would be odd if he did decide to sue for information he has already released.

Well done Isabel Oakeshott ! Matt Hancock has always struck me has being child-like.

Why is the CPS not bring charges against Politicians, Medical Professionals and others who did hold or still do hold a position in Public Office, that also includes police officers who grossly abused their position of power ?

"Misconduct in public office"

Definition of the Offence

wilfully neglects to perform their duty and/or wilfully misconducts themself; to such a degree as to amount to an abuse of the public's trust in the office holder; without reasonable excuse or justification.

Are we to believe that none of them lied, deliberately mislead, abused position of trust ?

I would also include the likes of Prof. Neil Ferguson, who was a major 'trusted' advisor to government before he was caught with his pants down, with someone else's wife during lockdown. His predictions over time have simply been appalling, and have caused much distress:

Foot & mouth 2001 predicted 150,000 deaths, reality, <200.
BSE 2002 predicted  50,000, reality 177.
Bird flu 2005 predicted 150,000, reality 282.
Swine flu 2009, predicted 65,000, reality 457.
Covid 2020, predicted 500,000, reality <150,000.

He should be locked up!

Along with at least 100 others.

I bet the Prof is rubbish at picking lottery numbers 🤣

Well, to be fair, we're all rubbish at that

It's not those that pick the numbers, its those that draw them !

Personally i don’t want to see a witch-hunt. I think the Covid story is very complicated. Look at China, they were the instigators of this cluster f……..I did say in a previous post, that a full apology to our nation is required. Also a guarantee that lockdowns will never happen again.
