Bty_Mry
Hi everyone. I'm new to this forum and Fiesta STline club... Only picked it up yesterday.... So, about the car, its a 2018 model with only 14k miles on the clock. When I tried to start the car this evening on the dash I had 'key not detected' and it wouldn't start (but it opened) so I went in to the house and got the other fob but message was the same but eventually it started. Shortly after I was driving it an amber engine light came on..... Can anyone tell me if there's a connection or am I just very unlucky? Thank you. unofix
Hi Betty, welcome to the Ford Owners Club. The first thing that I would be doing with a car I'd only had a few hours would be to contact whoever or wherever you bought the car from. Probably if you had your keyless fob in your lead lined purse it may have had a problem being detected, ask the seller what the problem is.

I contacted Ford dealership and they took care of the problem, it was a low battery in both fobs (now replaced and no issues) and as for the engine management light, it was CO2 sensor that packed in! They replaced it and what a difference to fuel economy! Happy days! I love my new Ford! Please, tell me more about this cars, I'm so curious! Thank you. 🙂
