hi guys

i have a 2010 ford mondeo 2.0 tdci titanium estate, every 600 miles or so i get the dreaded oil deterioration light, i have changed the oil and filter multiple times with ford spec oil i reset the light and it does the same again, we have had the dpf off and cleaned it regenerated it and eventually it does ther same again.

i have also had the car in to ford for a software update on the pcm, but this hasnt resolved the issue.

has anybody had this issue please or could somebody advise on something else that may rectify the issue?

appreciate any advice or input guys

thanks

Jeff

You may be able to turn the system off with Forscan.

Sounds like the sensor that controls it is faulty as you know the oil is good

Or you could just simply keep resetting it every time it comes on and ignore it and just change oil when you know it needs it

thanks for the reply DaveT70

it does it every 600 odd miles or so and the oil does seem to look a little thin when i check after the warning kicks in, any ideas what could be the cause of it throwing that warning? is it dpf related or something else all together do you think?

thanks

Jeff

Seriously, no idea.

But, as you're under warranty, I'd get Ford to find out why it keeps coming on.

Every time it comes on, take it back.
