I just love that, just wait till driverless cars are spewn all over the place, with some 10 year old hacker demanding a BitCoin ransom or otherwise they'll wrap you round the next lamppost!

Doesn't look like it. Sirius XM is an American satellite radio and telematics provider.

Ford rely on vodaphone in the uk, and I imagine the other manufacturers use the same in UK.

Owners who's cars were hacked, reported the vehicle driving at between 5 & 6 MPH, stopping frequently and making doorstep deliveries 🤣

In 1979, I installed a rev counter into my Datsun 120Y. There was no possible logistic reason, barring that I was a boy racer, and that's what we did 40 odd years ago LOL

In 1979 a Datsun was breaking technology, when the Japanese began sending us models with luxuries we had never seen before….. I remember adding a chrome exhaust tip to my Datsun 100a …. Did nothing for the performance but it was about the ‘look’

Datsun was the first car I saw with no engine oil leaks , and the engine was so quiet. There was disbelief that a  car could pass an MOT first time after 3 years on the road.

I can remember my late father having a Violet/ Sunny/ Cherry and finally a Stanza. Somewhere along those models it changed from Datsun to Nissan though IIRC.

They'll always be Datsun to me, in the same way that a 'Snickers' bar will always be a Marathon, and StarBurst will always be Opal Fruits!

My father had Datsun 120Y / Datsun Cherry / Datsun Bluebird (C reg 1986?) / Nissan Bluebird (G reg 1990?) in that order. Never broke down just rusted away. Think only job he did was a clutch in the Cherry but I was learning to drive at the time lol
