Jason87 Posted March 2, 2023 Share Posted March 2, 2023 My clutch doesn’t slip but feels like it’s wearing thin when I pull away etc (doesn’t feel like it used to) and my torque/acceleration also feels off. Would a clutch that is wearing thin affect performance at all if it’s not slipping? Or is this more likely a separate engine issue? Mk2.5 tdci. Well I’ve put it in 4th at about 25-30 and put foot down and it slowly picks up speed as normal, doesn’t appear to slip. I may just have a boost leak or some other issue like that then. If I remember correctly what I used to know about engine output characteristics, that's probably not a good test, as at those low revs the power output is relatively low, compared with when the revs are at say 4500rpm.
