All season tyre recommendation

Featured Replies

Good day.

Which - all season tyres would you recommend?

Now have michelin crossclimate on fiesta and bridgestone weather control on focus.

Both are very capable. But would all season tyres have better steering result and especially braking result? Are there any better tyres?

After three years with bridgestone weathercontrol some little parts are torn apart.

Any reviews about continental all season 2?

you say so?

the review shows it is not the best on wet.

On fiesta (crossclimate 1 not 2) it wasnt very strong on braking especially braking on wet.

No, they say so

He says so.

But also it shows it is not the best on wet asphalt.

Thats why more real users reviews are required.

Especially to describe result about wet handling and wet braking.

It would be interesting a review of someone having exparience of Bridgestone Turanza All Season 6.

three iterations

crossclimate

crossclimate +

crossclimate 2

each has improved wet weather performance - the last climate 2, like goodyear are all developed in the USA now - oddly its normal over there to use all season tyres - and they get loads more versions of all the major brands tyre types than we are stuck with in europe

everything needs to be in context - summer tyres are deadly in the cold and damp
in cold temps <12C cross climate 2s will still pull up some 10m shorter in the wet than any summer tyre
michelin climate 2 work better in snow than budget full on winter snow tyres, and work quite well in the summer - you just have to be sensible re aquaplaning - but then we need to do that on any tyre or any vehicle

My goodness man, it's a bloomin' tire! 🤣  It'll be tossed in the bin a year after purchase. They're all legal, and pass all current motoring legislation. Way too much thought going into this. Go into your favourite tire seller and see what's on offer 🤣

she has cross climate 2, we've had all three of them - have a second pair of wheels, one year we put summer fronts on, but she grew up and now we just run these

my father's has cross climate 2, I had wanted to try vector all season 4s but costco are hopeless

I had full winter tyres on mine and as use so little left them on for 3 years all year round - when they wore out I went to summer stuff and they are lethal - no grip at all for 80% of the time in damp soggy post climate change car crash Britain !!! have to drive much slower now

I have Crossclimate 2.

I find I can still steer after a bit of rain.

So do you find crossclimate 2 capable for sport driving?

I find them capable for driving on UK public roads in a manner consistent with applicable traffic laws, good roadcraft, and the performance envelope of the vehicle. I haven't taken them on a rally stage or the Nurburgring, if that's what you mean....

I mean how is driving on high speed motorway, or roads between towns-villages (60 m/h limit).

I think best choices (after asking owners) are crossclimate 2 and goodyear vector 3.

Great! Go buy a set and tell us what you think...

Not yet, still collecting opinion and reviews.

Best choices seems to be goodyear vector 3, michelin crossclimate 2 and bridgestone turanza 6 all season.

Have you got a cut off point, or is this just an exercise in 'collecting opinion' 🤣

Last two sets of tyres have been Crossclimates. Brilliant tyres.

Steering on wet or braking? or on high speed? are you satisfied

Steering on wet or braking? or on high speed? are you satisfied

Steering on wet was predictable, when I turned the steering wheel to the left, the car went to the left. When turning to the right, car went to the right, incredible precision. However, at high speed, about 155mph, I found the braking a little unpredictable in that when pressing firmly on the pedal, the car took a while to come to a halt. Only to be expected though as it was on smooth tarmac with little grip. Am I satisfied? Sure, doesn't take much to satisfy me as I'm a man easily pleased... 😁
