Hi am asking if i can change the old ford 6000 cd player in my 2006 zetec to a Sony cdx5f611 that you find in some 56/07/57 models would it be a straight swap or would i need a surround plate or difeerent wiring block...?

Have attached a photo of the stereo i would like to purchase and fit..

Many thanks in advance

You need a new fascia and a mounting frame. The plugs in the back are the same. If it has DAB you will need a new arial.

So basically the 2 facia are the same except where the stereo goes into below is the 2 different types of facia

1: focus 05-07

2: focus 07-09

That looks spot on sir.

For the extra cost I'd buy the screws to fix the mounting bracket as well, that way you can be sure they will fit.

The stereo in pic 2 above is not the sony but is the same shape (its the newer 6000cd curved)

Ive just made this swap to DAB, is there a way of connecting an ipod to the head unit via the aux mode?
