Hello there i have a black 2005 mk2 focus saloon ghia im looking for ideas on cheap mods nothing crazy to make it fell a bit nicer and individual. One think i know I want is to tint the rear windows ( Im from the birmingham/worcs area so if anyone can recommend places that would be great). Ive seen the thread by lenny on the climate control knobs which I will try and do asap.

Any ideas welcome

Hello, I too have a MK2 Saloon and am currently gathering modification ideas. Doesnt seem to be many MK2 Saloons with serious Mods on the net but i have found these two which i think both look awesome...might give you some ideas...unfortunatly no serious mods are that cheap:-(

you may like this cheap mod, a vinyl strip on the lower centre bumper piece. i know your model may be slightly different but the same effect

Yeah i think that would work on my Focus...may look into that mate (pic of front bumper on my focus see below)

i am liking the look of the ST wheels on the focus i think lowering is out of the question though had enough of bumpy rides

ST wheels have been on my 'to buy list' for ages...i keep an eye out on ebay too......only recently got CAM belt/Tensioners/EGR valve replaced which cost a bomb so havnt really had an spare cash to do any mods. Wana get mine re-mapped too.

As for lowering, I wouldnt mind getting that done as the ride height on the MK2 Saloon is ridiculasly high..i guess it has to be to allow for the clearance of the boot which over hangs at the rear. But part of me enjoys the height as gives a great all round view from cabin and the ride is very nice...better than the hatchback and the handling is sharp...lowing it might effect all that.

Mate I live not far from Birmingham in Oldbury and I have just had my front windows tinted as the backs were done as part of the pack - I paid £50 for front 2 but for all the car is around £180 and he does a great job ! I have used him for the past 15 years on all my new cars. He is based near West Brom so let me know if interested and will give you his details.

Any one know what this front bumper is? Looks more mk2.5, but that's a mk2 focus...
