Joel Crossley
Hi I was wondering if anyone could help me, I currently have a ford fiesta zetec 2012 registered so the mark7. As I am only 18 i cannot get insured on a Zetec S. i wondered if there was a body kit available which i could fit onto the standard 3 door Zetec? I want the spoiler and the side skirts, rear bumper and the front skirts. They all need to be painted in black. Where could I get this from and how much will it cost me? Cheers joel
Mark M.K
There is little point to be honest. You will still have to tell your insurance company about fitting a bodykit, which will likey end up being refused. Failure to do so will result with you driving round without insurance. Joel Crossley
You dont have to tell them about adding a genuine ford spoiler though?
b1g_dav3
You dont have to tell them about adding a genuine ford spoiler though? Anything that is added that is not factory standard on your vehicle has to be declared.
iNath
You dont have to tell them about adding a genuine ford spoiler though? Anything that is added that is not factory standard on your vehicle has to be declared. You sure do! If you change your vehicle so it's different to how it rolled off the factory floor you've modified it and needs to be declared. (Excluding consumables such as bulbs, air filter (excluding performance) tyres etc)
The Dark Knight
Defo tell them. I am nearing the end of my law degree now and currently studying consumer law. Our lecturer did a masters degree in cosumer and commercial law and tells us that although insurance companies have what they say is a claims department, it is in fact an avoidance department and they will do all they can to get out of paying. On another note about insurance, I am 29 with 4 years protected NCB and my fez is £36 per month with Sainsburys which includes lost key cover and uninsured driver protection. Joel Crossley
Thanks for all your help, before i add anything the first thing i will do is consult the insurance company :). I stand corrected and appreciate all of your comments
