  • No worries! At least you don't have to worry about legality! :D

  • I can vouch for Osram night breakers being a high quality brighter bulb. Had a said in my old MK1 for a while. The only thing you do find with brighter bulbs is that sometimes they don't last as long

  • Hoping this will help. I bought a pair of genuine HID Xenon headlights from a scrapped Focus ST for my MK2.5. The headlight connector is the same but if your car was not factory fitted with HID headla

They look, just like i'd expected. But have search some faults from my car, still i think that 1) bulbs are coming to an end, 2) low voltage, 3) optics are fading. or 4) ballast has come to an end. But if ballast has coming to end, they start to blink and don't start easily bulbs.

Nazsky786: have your optic on lamps clear or dimmed, and chrome or balck housing?

Clear optics with chrome backing. But the backing would make no difference.

Ok, so mine has faded optics, there's again possible reason. Thanks for pics :)

I don't think the optics themselves make any diffrence as well.

I think if they are dimmed for using, they can't produce light as planned, have to take tomorrow and test H7 and external ballast. Post more info at sunday :)

Heres a picture, taken tonight. Left side has H7 and external ballast in oem projector (6000k), and right side has just oem projector and osram xenarc 4300k

Problem is that original D1S, is dimmer than that chinese H7 what is in left side.

Have you tried adjusting the beam pattern? To me it seems like it's has a small pattern where normally you can widen the view pattern of the light beam

No i haven't'' how this procedure acomplish?

There is a manual adjusting screw on the headlight. This makes the pattern wider or less

Which one, theres a two srews?

I don't remember, I think it's a yellow one

I believe the inner one adjusts height and the other adjusts direction.

But the auto leveling sorts that out doesn't it?

I won't mess with the adjustment it has until the auto leveling is all set up.

Found some information, from focusst.org, that there's a yellow pattern screw, but i think thread starter point newer mk3(4) ST

HI there,

sorry to interrupt:

can you tell me where can i locate the headlight control unit in my car?

Sent from my GT-I9300 using Ford OC mobile app

It's located under the headlight switch or behind it. It wiring is hidden behind but on some cars it not there. But 90% of the time it's not there.

Well, I guess mine is one of them 10%. because I've been searching for mine behind the light switch with no succes.

It's not there.

Even my local ford dealer couldn't find it there.

Heres a pic, how poor performance are my light at moment. Its pitch black, and hardly see anything.

Looks like you'll need some night vision glasses.

regarding the module; if I remove the switch i'm suppose to see the module immediately?
