Luke Fletcher
I have a 2008 Focus 2.0TDCI and recently when I put down the window and go to put it back up it goes up to about 1.5 inches from the top but then decides to go back down to about half way. I can get it closed by intermittently pressing the button. Any ideas?
STEADS
Must be some sort of obstruction at the top take the window down and with the handle of a dinner knife say run it around the rubber working the seal out wards might be that the rubber just got a bit to tight usually does the trick when I come across this problem. Stoney871
You must have the safety setting to avoid trapping things in the window. It's detecting resistance so is opening again as programmed. Try some WD40 in the channels.
Luke Fletcher
Thank you all, just tried knife and no luck....will give wd40 ago when it's light :) How do I know if i got this safety setting? Is it like a turn off/on thing or if I got it then I got it. Obviously it's a good thing not complaining but didn't know there was such a feature. Stoney871
The window dropping back to me says safety feature. Stops fingers and heads getting trapped. Not sure if you can turn it off or not. Sent using Ford OC mobile app
Luke23 tdci
The window has forgotten its top memory position. When the window is at the top hold the button closed for 2 seconds then realise and do the same again. This will re set the top position of the windows memory position.
