BigRog
Can you guys tell me if your new Zs has a fair size gap from top of bumper to bottom of tailgate? (about 5-7mm) I can see 4 slots if I look at mine head on from the back, it looks like they should have some kind of plug in it to hold the bumper/trim in place. The slots are even spaced across the back. Sorry no pictures as I have only just noticed it as I was dropping car of at the detailers and it's playing on my mind now. Cheers, Roger. BigRog
I know what you mean Stoney, I'd expect it on a corsa :)
PAPUMA
Just close your eyes when you open the boot. :D But, if they are drain holes i dont care how big they are as long as they work. Currently emptying half a cup of water from our focus's boot due to a leak that i just cant fix. I'll take ugly drain holes over that anyday. Stoney871
Car designers spend years refining shapes just so some uppity twit with a sketch pad can balls it up. Certainly wouldn't pass the pound coin test.
BigRog
No it wouldn't, the £1 coin would fall straight through it. :) Never heard of drain holes on a bumper. Will ask at a stealership next time I'm passing one.
Stoney871
Maybe it's a space for Audi drivers to aim at? ;)
Gary.J
They are drain holes, if you look at the bumper, you can see the ledge slopes in towards the boot. If they weren't there you could get things wet when putting items in the boot.
Sheriff
My tailgate had much more 'gap' running down the offside of the hatch, next to the light cluster. I compared it to the other side and there was a definite much bigger gap. I returned it to ford and they adjusted. Much better now. This was from factory too. Worth checking.
