blueovalboy
Hi. Does anyone know if the air con pump clutch can be changes on the focus st225 please? I took it to get it re-gassed as It was Very low. There is voltage going to it but it doesn't spin up. A mate said it's the clutch that's seized and they the complete unit vary in price from £65.00 to £110.00 but if I could just change the clutch it wouldn't need gassing up again. Thanks. theduke
Theres normally a thermal fuse behind the clutch plate on magnet pita to get to with the compresor on the car and a lot of potch to replace hence why most people will stick a new/recon one on. Theyre technically unservicable Sent from my GT-S6810P using Ford OC mobile app
blueovalboy
Thanks for the reply mate. Guess it's a second hand compressor then. CheeRS

artscot79
if the old one has ceased you will need to flush the sysytem before fitting anything a mobile aircon specialist will flush the system and fit special filters to ensure fragments dont damage the new pump should any still bein the sytem if you simply fit the pump youll get about a month out of it trust me made this mistake with my passat and caused even more damage to the point it would cost £1300 to have the aircon fixed
STEADS
Got a feeling by what I can see on eBay is the end two letters must refer to the position of the inlet outlet holes .
blueovalboy
Thanks for the help guys. STEADS I think you could be right with the position of the ports. I'm trying to find out of the one you have will fit as I rather pay you for that than someone else.
