Hi,

I was wondering are you supposed to check Focus oil level with engine turned on? I have a Focus MK1.5 facelift 2001 1.6 zetec. When engine is off and I check dipstick it is bone dry. When engine is on the oil on dipstick shows as between min and max marking.

    With the engine off mate if its bone dry you definately need oil just make sure youre checking on flat grounf

    As previous post check oil with vehicle on flat ground but wait for a few minutes after engine has been turned off so as the oil in the engine has settled in the sump.
