Actually I'm a little worried, I did say I'd like a 5 door with space in the boot for a dog etc....hope I don't get a zafira (or the latest vauxhall nappy wagon if its not that!!!)

Other than the fact it's not an Audi...it is a Corsa...and is only hot when it's on fire...and do I really have to spell out the Volkswagen Audi Group joke?

1) insurance group - shay matches a similar group

2) dimensions - what's the closest match on stock to shape and size and encone

3) has the good stuff gone

In my case the astra was the same group, apparently was similar enough shape and size, but all the mondeos, focus and even insignia had gone, so I was left with the bottom of the barrel....

Costs him £130 tax does 0 to 60 in 9.9 and 118ps no special stuff interior looks same as any other Corsa drab boring no dab no heated front windscreen no heated mirrors etc ......mines a 1.0 EcoBoost 0-60 In 9.4 no tax and looks amazing inside and out a got mines second hand 15k on it (titanium) and got it for £9,750 (brought dealer down) now he got his like a week or two before me and he got a cwap car slower torque less mpg more tax and bigger engine .... Got beat all that plus have all dab and al comforts for 3k odd less like wtf

Why would anyone want to steal a corsa and tbf the guy asked for it with his engine running and going into the house. I always lock the car engine running ad at least the car is secured and the insurance is more likely to pay out...

Lol, I know it sounds harsh but he was asking for it, going back in the house for a coffee. And I doubt his insurance will cover him if they find out, he should have maybe not gone to the news with it and say the guy threatened him with a knife.

I didn't know you could lock a car with the engine running, I'll try that some time. I know with the keyless starting it complains loudly if you walk away from the car, but the engine keeps running.

Run lock is not illegal for civilians but unless you have a very good reason there would be some very annoyed police waiting for your return. On my car, I put a key in, then when it's running get out and twist the spare key in the door barrel, ergo car runs door locked.

Yeah but you can't use a remote with the engine running, but manually it works. I've had the car running for half an hour outside locked up and me watching it from inside where I just happened to be sorting the boot contents with an extendable wrench lol

Lets be honest no Vauxhall would run for any longer than 2 minutes without stopping.

I had remote start on a vehicle in America.

Ideal for warming the car up when there was a metre of snow on the ground or ooling the car when it was 35 degrees in summer.

Car stayed locked and the engine would stop if put into drive if the key wasn't in the ignition so no risk of theft.

That s basically run lock off the gearbox rather than the handbrake, but it does the job.

Only problem with such devices is that if it plays up the vehicle won't start at all or cuts out at unfortunate times.
