Ford Fiesta Zetec S

Featured Replies

Hi there guys. I'm after some advice. I've seen a zetec s x reg in the imperial blue colour and it looks pretty decent. I know the tax is going to cost me. And the paint work isn't great around the spoiler but it's nothing I can't sort. The car looks pretty decent as I've said but it's for my misses and it will be her first car. Can you help me. I'd like to know what sort of miles, signs and well anything to look for which is good or bad. He has said to me that the car has history like. The only thing that's getting me. It's got 121000 miles. It's less than average miles for the car but I'd just don't know. So please can you guys help me. Jon.

The mk5s Zetecs engine goes on for miles and miles, iv seen some with over 160k. Its the bodywork that lets the car down, check rear arches, sills etc.

The Heater control valves go on the old Fiestas, cheap and easy to replace http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ford-Fiesta-KA-Puma-NEW-HEATER-CONTROL-VALVE-/150379416136?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Model%3AFiesta&hash=item23034fca48

Also check everywhere for any crash damage as at the the end of the day they are boy racer cars. Other than that just normal car buying stuff, service history, when cambelt was last done, oil leaks etc etc.

They do suffer with the occasional things going wrong but thats down to the age of the car rather than the car itselff.

Btw they are brilliant fun to drive!!!
