Fastfordman
I used to a 50 mile round trip to work mainly on Motorways in my 1.8 petrol, with some town mileage through day. Got 32-34 mpg out of the car normally. The engine was nice and had some grunt but much thirstier than anything I've had since. Also had a 11 plate 1.6 petrol that did about 40mpg but had a 5 speed box and was gutless. My current mk3 1.6 diesel does mid 50's no problem, can get into 60's if I try.

Very well done.Cheers buddy , i've not had it long. Since last march so around 8-9 months. Do what i did do your homework like what you want, what extras you need, bear in mind if that option is missing can it be added later. Like alloys/bodykit spoilers etc. But cant add cc/ keyless keyfree system etc .just compare with & between other trim levels . Same goes for engine size. Choose that fits your pockets. See my build thread 'Focus titanium build diary just started...Yunii

Lenny
Yes youre right but its not exactly plug & play like i did in my mk1.5 as it had the loom already their.bit of work involved. My mate tezza is planning to add cruise control to his ST225 using mondeo steering wheel & using his own airbag. Someon had done this on mk2.5 Yunii I've got Cruise control in mine from factory but here's a guide on fittinghttp://www.fordownersclub.com/forums/topic/30008-guide-fitting-cruise-control-focus-mk2-mk25-and-ford-c-max/ If using a mondeo steering wheel then its not plug&play because nothing is between focus and mondeo, Even the headunit software is different. The advantage of mondeo wheel is the buttons are illuminated aswell as sporting headunit controls on the wheel. The pedals on the ST and RS may be different to the rest of the focus range as they never had cruise control as an optional. Extra, But using a focus 5 spoke wheel with the cruise control buttons removed from a focus should be plug & play on a non ST non RS focus because cruise control sensors are fitted to all sets of focus pedals weather they have cruise control wheel fitted or not, Ive saw it done on here using the modified elm327 and a focus wheel with the buttons.
