Things I Don't Like

How have I never noticed that before!? Fail.

If you look at the front left of the battery box you should see the join line, lift the front slightly upwards and pull it gently forwards and it should unclip, unclip the cables from the front and just draw the section out from the scuttle panel. I had to change the battery on my 2008 facelift just a few weeks ago and laughed after reading posts of folk ripping their hands to shreds trying to get the battery out!

I don't like imagining how my life could have been had I taken up opportunities available to me years ago.  That said, there is always time to go back and do things again - so maybe I will.  As they say, you have to reach rock bottom before things get better - and the lift has definitely reached the ground floor.

You shouldn't be going 'back' to things at all, should always be moving forward, even if that is revisiting something from before.

I often get stuck dwelling on what if's, but the fact is, I can't change the past, nor can anyone, so it's not exactly helpful lol.

I don't like that there was only half the recommended amount of gear oil left in the GTi6, so maybe the fresh stuff will have fixed it...  Haven't got the chance to drive it for a couple of days now though unfortunately lol.

Very true, Tom.

I genuinely wish I could go back & 'do' things I had the chance to do.  Every time I think of the 2 two girls in question(unfortunately not at the same time) I call my 16 year old self every name under the sun.  Also I'd be working as a truck mechanic at DAF by now instead of being a smelly farmer

The fact that this guy wasn't my driving instructor!

I don't like nearly telling a customer to :censored: herself.  The sooner I get out of that job the better.  If I stay there, I'll either end up having another breakdown or getting sacked.

Lol same here!

I don't like the clutch dragging, getting stuck in gear and breaking the linkage as a result...  So yeah, the '6 needs new clutch and linkages that I haven't budgeted for.  Really gotta think whether its worth putting more money into or not.

Ouch!  It doesn't help that the gearboxes in old Peugeots are stiff at the best of times.

I don't like fecking seagulls!  If I had an outside tap I wouldn't mind so much as I could buy a power washer and clean the car myself for free, but paying £5 at the jet-wash every week is getting on my nerves now.

I don't like finding a pool of soft and runny poo floating on the hall carpet, when the back door is open.

It's not like she was stuck inside when the urge to empty came, it's all of 6 metres from the hall to the back door and on to the drive:huh: I guess the urge came on faster than she could move to the drive.  These things happen when you're an older dog.

Pigeons are the problems here, when they're not eating the young brassicas: they're bombing the Foci

The worrying thing is, it'll happen to us humans too...

You could buy a bucket and use an inside tap.

Or use an indoor tap connector and run a hose down the stairs and across the car park like I do.

I could, but that would involve physical exercise!  Not sure my body is up to that...

Physical exercise is good for stress!

That reminds me of how I used to read fault codes before I bought a laptop for diagnostics.

From the PC with the diagnostic software in the office, an ethernet cable would be run across the floor, out into the hall, into the bathroom and out the window.  From there a drop of 10 metres to the garden path, along the path and up the drive to the car.  where it would be plugged into a dongle which in turn was connected to an OBD plug:laugh:

Sprinting back and forth between the car and the PC when I needed to check or reset each time:lol:

That's dedication haha!

I don't seeing bite marks in the sidewall of my N/S/F tyre!!  I know how it happened, as last night I was driving down a country lane and two dogs came running out of a nearby house.  Whilst stopped (waiting for them to move away so I could drive off without running them over), they were stiffing around the car.  Turns out they did more than that, having inspected my tyres today.

Just as I was thinking that the car might pass its MOT without any repairs!  Those bite marks will most certainly result in an MOT failure, and should really be replaced immediately.  More fecking expense that I don't need.

Don't like how long the garden grass is.  My garden is all grass to the fences except on long the walls where it is 2 x 3x2 concrete pads wide.  SO I want to dig the borders, you know to make the garden look nicer but I have nowhere to put said grass & top soil.  I've also got to move a rook of gravel for which I have 2 tote bags for but just generally can't be bothered.  I wish I could just slap myself & change how I was

I don't like getting daily electric shocks from car doors and metal door handles!!  Not sure what it is, but I seem especially prone to it.

I used to get static shocks all the time, didn't notice that it'd stopped until I got one off the Focus yesterday!  No idea why but it hadn't happened for a couple of years at least lol.

I would be surprised if bite marks were an MOT fail, dog bites are considerably lighter than hitting potholes at 70mph!

Considering there are two rather deep cuts, I think it would be considered dangerous.  No cords are exposed though, nor are there any bulges.

Actually, reading this it is possible that it may not be a failure...  I'll put it in and see, if it fails then the spare tyre (5th alloy with legal tyre) will go on for the retest.

I've heard of that before, a mate's Boxer is drawn to bite the tyres of vehicles that come too close to him.

Brandy has never been a tyre biter but she does have a need to pee next the rear tyres of cars she doesn't know. If they happen to have pulled on to the drive.  Once that car has visited a couple of times, it doesn't bother her.

She doesn't have the same urge to pee next to cars outside.  For her, it must be territorial thing - "I'll leave my mark here as you're in my personal space"

Oddly, I get daily electric shocks from Molly but only after I've brushed her.  It's not reciprocal, she doesn't get a shock from me.  She's the first electric generating cat I've had.
