That was Cammel Laird - and I'm not an engineer :D

The Planet Rock retune. Still get it, but the signal drops out a lot on the new channel. There goes the one good thing about the Hyundai...

Kerbs! Now I have my alloys refurbed I will be parking MILES away from them! :)

I don't like being so busy, I have little time for anything else again:sad: Last couple of day were ideal, for doing things to the Focus and in the garden but I found myself occupied with paperwork.

I equally don't like sitting in my office and hearing a groan, then a thud, another groan and what sounded like a dull extended screech, followed by a twang. Not unlike the previous sound of the chap opposite trying to fit his Insignia into a too narrow gap between his Mondeo and his wall.  Well it was car crunching related sound, but not from the chap opposite.  Looking out of the window, I couldn't at first, see who had hit what.  A trip downstairs revealed Mother had reversed into the first metal handrail post, some distance from the drive!  In the Mk1 Focus, and had put a watermelon size depression in the offside rear with a big crease across the centre, in addition to a neat handrail impression along the tailgate:ohmy: Along with some fresh deep incisions on the rear spoiler.

Repairing the tailgate is fairly straightforward, as is the spoiler but getting the creased watermelon out, is going to be quite challenging.  Had it not creased it would have been so much simpler:sad:

I don't like that the treasury believes it can predict the economy in 14 years time....

Regardless of brexit or stay opinions, THAT is effing ridiculous!!!

The Treasury has enough trouble predicting how many water cooler disposable cups they need on a weekly basis: let alone predicting an entire economy on 14 year basis.:lol:

General Foods or Kellogs missed a trick with the name "Brexit", it would have suited a slow release carbohydrate breakfast biscuit

That's what I thought!  When I first heard it (on here actually) I thought it was one of those breakfast bars or something.

I don't like discovering there's neither chicken carcases nor poultry necks left in either of the freezers.  I wrongly thought there were still two bags of necks, the odd leg and a few carcases to go.  This means I'll have to wedge in a trip to Brandy's food shop at some point tomorrow, or Wednesday at the most.  She's got a half duck for tomorrow

Fuel prices seems be rising considerably faster than they previously fell, £1.05 (diesel) and £1.06 (petrol) per litre now, it was £1.02 and £1.03 last week:sad:

I was 104.9p tonight filling the 405 up with diesel.  I hate seeing the price increase faster than the litres!!

I don't like waiting for the two slowest services in the UK - the DVLA and Royal Mail!!  It takes the former long enough to actually post the damn thing and then a week for the latter to deliver it.

Tty posting a letter next time

I don't like nearly being shoved into a central reservation by some silly girl driving a KA who was too busy yapping with passengers to realise she was sawing me off short.

Video doesn't really do justice as to how close she really was to me and how close I was to the reservation but trust me when I say that it was very close.

It always seems to be KAs that are driven by incompetent idiots!  It's ironic as they are one of the smallest cars and should be the easiest to drive.  Mind you, if you buy a small car because you don't feel safe enough in a larger model, then you shouldn't really be driving anything.

I'm making assumptions and generalising, but it is true.

Insurers have the wrong idea making it cheap to drive small vehicles, because they are the most often involved in crashes (3-door Fiestas, Corsas etc...)

I don't like that the mother in law has gone to go and get a fridge freezer(2nd hand, freebie) initially for the sister in law.  Instead it's ended up in my kitchen, it is jeffing noisy, jeffing enormous, jeffing ugly & probably jeffing expensive to run, infact a google search of said FF brings up nothing about it.  Not even the brand with is BPL, so if anyone has any information as to how archaic this thing is please let me know.  I'm dreading the electric use(he says, with the front room, kitchen & hall lights on)

Looks blooming close when you continue her trajectory as she goes out of shot!

Are you allowed to do anything about it while off duty?

I imagine you can't pull anyone because there are no lights, etc.

Bet sometimes you wish you were in the work car when things happen...

Be warned guys, it's clearly "National drive like a bellend day" today... I missed the memo, but evidently everyone else got it!

I could report her and as technically Police are classed as on duty 24/7 I could have given her suitable words of advice but if she had hit Me then I would not be able to arrest her but would have to refer it to a Traffic Unit Sergeant for consideration and unbiased investigation.

Showed video to an oppo in Traffic this morning and his views are unsuitable to transcribe here.

I was just about to post this haha.  Wednesday round here is drive like a idiot day.  Has been for years.

Right so I've got 2 petrol lawnmowers in the garden & the garden needs mowing + the boarders need digging out and making tidy.  But 1 mower doesn't work so that is half stripped on the outside table & the other won't start & what am I doing, sat on said table on the laptop because I can't work up the effort to crack on with said jobs.  Yet when I go to work I moan " ooooohhhhh I've got loads to do"

Not without it running away & trying to kill itself at the same time lol.  I could possibly steal a few cows

I don't like 20 year old French electrics...  First the O/S brake lamp won't illuminate (bulb is fine and N/S works), then the temperature gauge sporadically stops reading.  I'm not so bothered about the latter (besides, it is working again for now) but will have to investigate the brake lamp ASAP.  Not sure what it could be though, as it illuminates the 5w filament when the lights are turned on, but just won't send power to the 21w filament when the brake is pressed.
