I don't like those people who pootle along at 20miles a fortnight and then speed up the minute you go to overtake them...

I had a couple of those today, but thankfully the Peugeot's engine (all 92HP...) managed to outrun both.  I think it is that they don't realise (or care) that they are going so slow, but when you go to overtake they suddenly get all defensive like "hey, I can go fast too!!".

Of course I only overtake when I have a clear area ahead, but even then it can still be dangerous because they are increasing the time you are on the wrong side of the road, and if that resulted in a head on collision, they would (in my opinion) be at fault.  The whole reason you are meant to check your mirrors is so that you can adjust your driving accordingly, and if you see somebody overtaking in your right wing-mirror, you are meant to maintain your current speed or slow down, not SPEED UP!

I think you are over-rating their intelligence! They are not thinking about what they are doing, and as a car comes up beside them some sort of automatic reaction increases the force on their throttle pedal. Then as you go past, they sink back to their pre-set speed.

Of course, when the road narrows, or goes through a village with parked cars & maybe kids, or they go past horses & cyclists, they still carry on at the same old rate. ohmy.png

Either their mind has gone, or they have switched it off for the journey. And that is not a safe way to drive!

For reasons that are unfathomable, pale coloured Hondas and silver Nissan Micras are often their vehicle of choice.

I was just about to say silver Micras!!  It is also true of Corsa Bs (1993-2000), normally with drivers aged 50+.

And the A352 Wareham to Weymouth road is one of their favorite haunts!

I like to hold the revs a little too long after those sort of overtakes...at the top of the rev range theres lots of fuel and not much boost...equals much diesel smoke.

Which reminds me, I encountered an odd Corsa B driver this evening, who left Tesco at the same as me.

From his appearance, aging skater with dreadlocks including beard, an almost stereotypical VW campervan driver.  However, he got into a Corsa B, it just didn't look right:laugh:  like socks with sandals or wearing wellies in bed.

not forgetting B3078 and B3081, particularly on the stretches with hidden bends and dips.

Brandy and I were circumnavigating Wareham this morning, with inadequate water and the wrong coloured shirt, it turned out

Bad Boy!ohmy.png

But I have just thought of a good reason for DPFs: If you could devise a way to regen on demand, you could send a really big, black, smelly message to your opponent!ph34r.pnglaugh.png

Is that the first and only good reason for the pesky things?

Ah, the one perk of a modern diesel!  Unfortunately mine refuses to smoke at all in any circumstances (other than the first 15-20 seconds on idle after cold-starting).

Lol, I've never seen an XUD that doesn't smoke!  Then again, I don't know of any others where the pump hasn't been tweaked...or run on veg...

Haha, well you could...but you'd quickly ruin the DPF core by overheating it, be like boiling your kettle dry!

However there is a much easier way to do it...just do as most of the Mondeo owners seem to do round here, just leave a faulty EGR, knackered injectors and boost leaks and you get plumes of the stuff everywhere...

windscreen washers... just give them a grubby spray!

I don't like fecking mouth ulcers!  On top of having a fever, a headache and a severe cough I now cannot eat solid foods either because of the agony that ensues.

The ever-increasing humidity, loss of breeze and overall stickiness:sad:

At least there was some kind of wind yesterday, now it's absent.

This is gonna be controversial...  I don't like how the new 5.0 V8 Mustang sounds.  I was expecting a deep V8 rumble at idle followed by that throaty gurgly roar of old V8s.  Instead its almost silent at idle, and doesn't really sound like a V8 when revved either, was really disappointed.

However the new Focus RS on the other hand, sounds awesome!!  This was a demo thing on a promo stand at a car show today so I had a sit in both as well, I'd rather have the Focus tbh!

I don't like seeing tiny loopers, looping along my Lizzano tomato plant leaves and perforating them:sad:

The tomato moths (loopers parents) are starting early this year, it's usually August when the first outbreak occurs:mellow:

Somebody's getting sprayed with soap and fish oil tomorrow:laugh:

I don't like squat related aches... Hopefully it's just tight from a cramp or something and not a pulled muscle :(

People who wear caps (usually flat caps) in cars 'doh it has a roof '

Do beanies count? Haha...

Those would be the same people wearing flat caps in the pub or Tesco...and probably at home too!

EE, I'm on PAYG and I tried topping up on my mobile so I can get my goody bag and their site doesn't work on my phone, it's almost like it's not mobile compatible lol.  Also don't Like what time me & Victor finished milking this morning... 11:15.  Me and his brother Valerie finish at half 9.
