Things I Don't Like

Featured Replies

...Tyre Centres that can’t fit tyre valves with pressure sensors properly...

twice now! I discover it while checking pressures that slight movement of the valve causes it to leak from around the base of the valve. Yet another trip to get it sorted!

Are they actually replacing the rubber valve though?

I pressure washed the 4x4 this afternoon before fitting new front and rear wipers. When I went round the other side of it I discovered I'd left the passenger door on the ST open  :wallbash:

Enough to make me 🤬

It needs a clean again now anyway. It's only been 20 days since I last did it but hey ho. Next weekend then...

I dont like that i didnt cut my grass over the winter as it was always too wet, just took me 2hrs to cut it and am knackered now.

I think I might need to invest in a self propelled petrol mower, the gardens too big really for my Flymo that I brought here from the old house.

Yep I have one of those - great investment

You can't beat a petrol mower purring along.

Lucky you having a big garden. I remember the days of cutting my dad's grass when I lived at home. Even with a self propelled mower it took 3-4 hrs

To be honest I could probably get away with just an interior clean - the dirt just rinses off the outside at the moment (the advantage of a well waxed car).

It's only about the size of a tennis court. By self propelled I mean just that, not a sit-on...

To be honest it was the garden that swung it when we viewed the bungalow. The property itself needed gutting but we had a 1yr old at the time and just thought how great summers would be all of us out with the garden sets and paddling pool.

Your dad's garden must have been huge Ian to take that long with a self propelled mower.

Nah - clean it regularly and it's not a problem. Remove carpets, hoover on the floor, scrub with interior shampoo, refit

I sometimes pay the grand kids to do it gives them a bit of cash and gives them something to do 😊

Not quite, we had large front garden with grass, the driveway could hold 10 plus cars!

the rear was grassed mainly, then the orchard behind that grassed with a greenhouse along the side( 80ft by 20ft)  me and my sister's wanted a swimming pool in the greenhouse and not plants/flowers.

As soon as I left home my dad bought a ride on mower!

My mother used to hide money around the house in areas which we were to clean then take us to the shop when finished,

My sister is OCD and as wide as a portacabin I wasn't that good at the cleaning
