I don't like that when I bought my car at 9000 miles it had no stone chips. I've now driven a further 4000 miles and I have two on the front bumper and one on a rear wheel 🤬

I suppose one saving grace is that the front bumper is still black underneath so they don't show too much...

So much crap on the roads there's not a lot you can do about it still it makes you sick when you find stone damage 😞

My front end was freshly resprayed when I bought the car...  No end of stone chips on it now 8 months later lol.  Also picked up a 'peppered' chip on the windscreen the other day, its not big enough to crack or fill, but several small dots grouped together right in my line of sight wish is annoying lol.

On closer inspection it looks like a stone got thrown into the rear wheel and it's chipped the paint on the caliper in a few places too. Does anyone have a link or paint code for the Mk7 Fiesta ST red caliper paint? And can you even buy touch-up paint for them?

I've seen this recommended as a very close match on other forums: https://www.halfords.com/motoring/paints-body-repair/specialist-decorative-paints/halfords-brake-caliper-paint-red-250ml

I got an electricity bill today, which I never like, but this was unusually annoying as it was an estimated bill and we've had a smart meter for over a year! 😠

I don't like house fires.

Went into the kitchen about 40 minute's ago and started to sort out the washing machine / tumble dryer (usually filled with other's stuff/lint/mess to clear out). I noticed that my dad had his Turkish style BBQ going (which he had built at the back of the kitchen a few years ago). I went back to my room to get a few things and on returning to the kitchen all I could see (and smell) was the thick black smoke completely covering the back of the house where the kitchen window was. Thick black smoke was starting to pour into the back of the house (as they had left the blo0dy patio door open).

Where my dad had left the fire going, it had heated up so much that it had melted the stupid plastic roof (about 2 foot above) that he had built a few years after the BBQ. The whole thing had caught alight and the various items within the BBQ were on fire as well.

To wrap things up, no one was hurt, nothing important was destroyed (few things but nothing replaceable or expensive) but given the increase in the ferocity of the fire between the few minutes I had seen things, it could have been a far worse outcome.

I have to laugh at one thing though. After shouting through the smoke to get my dad and his partner's attention, all I could hear next was "quick get the hose". Where the said fire was raging, was exactly where the tap and hose were and which had been completed melted in the fire!

Not that smart then. Glad I haven't got one. Can't beat reading them yourself and sending those readings on knowing the bill will be accurate.

You could touch it up with some touch up paint. I had some which came with the car but it's expired.

Could also put a protective film on it but you'd have to fix the paint underneath.

I'm more worried about touching up the caliper to be honest. My black bumper is at least black behind the paint

Got fed up with my front bumper looking spotty white ( it's ink blue or was) know having a respray never is as good as original paintwork so bought a prepainted OEM  bumper   12 months later  and hardly a mark on it through the winter so far.

I don't like this happening today!!!

Any idea how to remove it?

Can you not still get it off with the key? There's still plenty of contact area there. I've removed some by hammering a snug fitting socket onto them.

Seemed to just come off the nut, but I didn't spend too much time on it. I'll have another go tomorrow, when my mood improves 😁

Ohhhh, I thought he meant he didnt like the shattered locking nut but you might be right there about the wheel!😉

Where's the embarrassed emoji when you want it? 😀

Yes, wheels are a state! But it's a 14 year old car that I only use to drive to work and do dump runs with.

"Dump runs " is that going to the toilet quickly?

We turned ours down, saving of around 40 a year a complete joke,i have had for years a electric Monitor which similar type of thing so i know if i left anything on

and set cost per day/week/month but were on a fixed rate 5 year contract which is great, still 3 years left as already gone up twice since i had it,saves a hell of a lot a year.

We got a cheaper deal by having a smart meter. Funny thing is we don't even bother turning it on 😂
