Things I Don't Like

I don't like that when I bought my car at 9000 miles it had no stone chips. I've now driven a further 4000 miles and I have two on the front bumper and one on a rear wheel 🤬

I suppose one saving grace is that the front bumper is still black underneath so they don't show too much...

Every time i look at mine i see a new scratch or mark either from car parks or stone chips, mainly scratches from bags off people on the doors and just that bit to deep to hide.

I recently got a dent on my bonnet from a pigeon's head,

I was on a straight section of motorway traveling at 80mph when the pigeon came across the road but didn't have enough lift to clear itself from collision,

Its starting to rust now too ☹

Animals on the road around this time of year always reminds me of a place I used to work in; they too were too focused on production to think about health and safety.

On route to that workplace one morning I killed a rabbit and a pheasant,

The rabbits head took out a circular protractor shape out of the fin panel which comes down out of the wheel arch in front of the passenger wheel.

should have paint it in before the rust set in 😞

I hit a pheasant many years ago it dented a steel bumper car was a Talbot sunbeam my dad wanted to go back for it

but he was a bit of a womble  farm boy ☺️

Didn't spot it until recently, think I'm going to freestyle it out now; going for the Rat-Rod appearance 😅

Spent almost 40 pounds replacing bulbs in it last two weeks, indicator bulb, front footwell, dipped beam and led reg plate were gone over time needing replacement.

and now another 8 pounds on an auto dimming relay to dim the reg plate bulbs as there both 18 SMD that's 36 LED's on the reg which is too bright, I'm going to wire in a DRL dimmer to half the illumination.

I don't like spending money on the car anymore😅

I was behind a motorbike the other night who must have replaced his number plate light with an led, it was like a headlight it was that bright! Can't imagine the rider will get away with that for long before getting a ticket.

yo must of spent a fortune on it already with all your mods  🙂

There's a forest we visit regurally,

I put fairy doors in it back in 2011, they breed pheasants for shooting in a private part of the forest, there surprisingly tame,

Almost feed them through a bucket with shotgun barrel spout so there easily killed someday 😂😭😂 be sticking there head up it

Around 14,000 euro in total across four years,

Sound system was 4,700 in parts, ST alloys brand new were 1,900 For four excluding tyres, lowering 860, body kit 3400 fitted, exhaust 1100 fitted, remap and few black horses 600, additional lighting and ambient leds around 150 including all wiring, dash cams 300 etc.

I have to laugh at one thing though. After shouting through the smoke to get my dad and his partner's attention, all I could hear next was "quick get the hose". Where the said fire was raging, was exactly where the tap and hose were and which had been completed melted in the fire!

Sods law!

As a legal requirement for rented places, I've got a fire extinguisher by the front door in my flat...which is between the electric consumer unit, two storage heaters and an airing cupboard with 2 immersion heaters and a load of combustible materials in storage above...  I've often thought, if there's ever a fire here, chances are it'll be in front of the extinguisher!

I don't like this happening today!!!

Any idea how to remove it?

IMG_20190223_144228575.jpg

That looks like the old non-collar type so you can just bash a smaller socket over it to remove.  But I've removed them in the past with a long bar as a lever, place the locker key in the nut and gently put some anti-clockwise pressure on the bar, just light enough not to slip it out, then repeatedly hammer the knuckle of the bar.  The shock seems to free it off but you do have to be patient and only apply a small amount force to the end of the bar.

Worth saying, I would also remove the other 3 lockers before attempting that in case the key breaks as well!

😮

Wow, I could never put that much money into a car. £3400 for the bodykit??? Was that fitted by your wife's favourite extortionate double glazing company?😂

Are things much more expensive where you live Lenny as all those figures seem really expensive?

There was no talking sence to me at the time, and I was reluctant to invest in the home improvements at the time as work security was uncertain and I wasn't going to improve it for the bank to sell had work dried up, but thankfully things have vastly improved with work and improving the house all the way now,

The focus still gets a few looks on the road but really they go out of date and the mods ain't cheap, kids reck it too.

The prize was for the best cost saving tip for motorists,

I entered the competition with my guide for completely removing the rear wiper from the focus,

I said saves me €30 per year on service costs at the Ford Dealership
