Stan Rivers
Do Ford still issue service books or are servicing records now computer-based? I have just bought a 2013 B-Max from a local Ford main dealer and when I asked if it had a service book the salesman seemed a touch evasive and said I didn't need one. I know some manufacturers have done away with paper records but does this apply to Ford? I have a suspicion that the book is missing and the dealer doesn't want to cough up £200+ for a replacement. Russ
You can get a service pack (includes service book, radio manual and car manual, with wallet) for £38. Don't know where you were quoted £200 from? http://www.tchfordparts.co.uk/category/Owners_Literature,i.html

Stan Rivers
B max is digital service history. Ian, that's what I was hoping but I'll still try and get confirmation from the dealer just for my peace of mind.

Don't know where you were quoted £200 from? Russ, thanks for your help. However, I really want a certified, duplicate book showing the previous service history and these cost around the price I mentioned before. Wino
You should be able to request the digital service records from the Ford service center. I had a similar issue with my last one as there was no records in the actual service book itself but I did get it all printed, free of charge.I'm almost 100% certain that the records of the one I have now are also stored on the Ford service database and can be requested free of charge too.Can anyone else clarify this ? Stan Rivers
Thanks to everyone who has responded. I'm still getting the runaround from the dealer so I'll have a go with Ford HQ to see if I can get a final answer.
jeebowhite
Each group of dealers keeps their own digital records, but there is no single centre so you do still get a book and stamp.
