Fault code 1288?

Could anyone please advise on the above fault code?

I've been told "Brake pressure control fault" approx £1100 for repairs, ouch !!

What parts are most likely to be replaced? Would this be just the ABS module??

Would a sensor fault be picked up at the diagnostic check and not pressure control fault?

If it is a bad connection, and I disturb and make good, would the sytem need resetting or would the ESP light just return to normal?

Do you think a good auto electrician would be able to track the fault?
