alluwo
I've got a Fiesta Zetec 2006 with 45k on the clock. All is fine other than one thing, in a morning when it's cold, when you turn the key, the car stutters when it starts. Don't get me wrong it's not a 'major' issue but I'd ideally like to know what the problem is. It runs fine it's just as if it chockes for a few seconds before starting in the cold. Thanks in advance
GingerFlame
Do you allow the lights on the dash to go out & the fuel pump to prime before starting the engine? When was the car last serviced? I mean, fuel, air, oil filters, oil, plugs etc

When was the car last serviced? I mean, fuel, air, oil filters, oil, plugs etc I turn the key and wait maybe one or two seconds before starting it usually. In terms of service, I'm not sure as I've only owned the car about a month and the last owner didn't get the book stamped. Do you think a full service could improve things? GingerFlame
Try waiting for the lights to go out before starting. If not you may be tryingvyo start the engine before its primed with fuel. If that fails, it's service time. Fyi, its good habit to service any cars you buy as soon as you get them. You'll save money if you do them yourself or get a friendly neighbour to. If its a petrol, your cambelt is due in 2016. Regardless of mileage, it should be changed every 10 years.
