Looks loads better. :) Also repaired scuffs, and re lacquered the mirror from the new mirror as it's a better fit. JC600 Posted June 27, 2016 Author Share Posted June 27, 2016 Yesterday the ST started jerking at 3000-3500 rpm.....this morning my neighbour started the car so I could see if the cable on the imrc moved. When I noticed it wasn't attached.....so Re-fitted it, took for a drive and it was spot on. Also popped into my brothers work and plugged it into the snap on diagnosis machine. JC600 Posted July 5, 2016 Author Share Posted July 5, 2016 Put a jubilee clip on the throttle body hose, as it was missing.......and the car is booked for smart repair at the end of the month. :) front bumper is being painted and repaired, all the previous touch up paint is getting cleaned up and blended in. Rust under wing mirror is being treated and then painted. Any other chips or scratches are being touched in. Then the whole car will be mopped. Decided to go down this route, as didn't want the cost of different panels being fully painted and blended in. Then someone open a door into it, in a car park or something......Just want it clean and tidy. :) Only down side is I can't polish it till its done now lol 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

JC600 Posted July 17, 2016 Author Share Posted July 17, 2016 First off, the jerking problem seems to of gone......noticed it was only doing it when I had less than 1/4 tank. So put some fuel system cleaner in and brimmed the tank. Used 1/2 a tank so far, and all good through the rev range so far. Fingers crossed. :) Also brought a second hand gear knob with really good leather. But the polished finish was going grubby to quick. So sanded down with the drill, coloured the numbers dark blue and about 4-5 coats of clear acrylic metal lacquer. :) Ready to go back in the car, but going to get some new gaiters first. :) 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

And treat all the leather trim.
