SierraYankee99
Clutch thrust bearing?
InstructorPiggy
mmm, me thinking same. But normaly it presents itself when changing gear...when the clutch pedal comes back up sharp, bick squeal, classic clutch thrust bearing. Wouldnt think it would make noise when pulling away hard, depending on whether he has clutch still half engaged at that point or not. And again, low speed dont make sense. Need more info there bud... Could be a wheel bearing, aux belt tensioner pulley, split turbo pipe/intercooler... Could you describe the sound and exactly the circumstances? Piggy :)

Piggy :) hi again its like a faint whistle but you only hear it up to about 25-30mph and when you depress the clutch it fades and if i drive the car hard you dont hear it it is only when you pull away slowly you hear it
InstructorPiggy
very odd...would think that hard driving would alway show up a fault all the more so... But do you think that hard driving=high engine noise would mask the whistle??? Piggy :)
