Tyre Repair Kit

As I have just purchased a spare wheel for my 2014 titanium I now have a tyre repair kit and compressor which I doubt I'll use. I was looking on amazon etc to get a price and maybe sell it on Gumtree or eBay. I since have read that the canister of gloop only has a 4 year shelf life, is this true?

If so I don't see the point in advertising it for sale. Is there really a market for these repair kits.

Not really. You might get a tenner for the compressor (they're only £20 direct from Ford) the can of foam isn't worth bothering to sell. That's under a tenner from any garage/car shop.

I'd keep the compressor (even though it is capable of less than 25psi) in the boot just incase you get to the spare and it's flat. It's actually quite a frequent issue as the tyre looks pumped up in the boot but goes flat once you get the weight of the car on it.

Cheers Luke, I wasn't sure how capable the compressor was, I'll give it to a family member to keep in their car as I have quite a good one got from Santa in the boot.

I use the compressor as a tyre pump and it is capable of well over 40 lb should you need it.

Oh apologies then, I thought I saw a max 25 psi sticker on it.

That's good to know, I'll give it to one of my kids for their car, I already have another type I got from Santa  at Xmas time.

lol Been there done that Luke  

Had a puncture last year, changed the tyre only for the spare to be flat as a pancake, car was purchased new back in 2010 so must have been flat when the car was made   

I check the spare tyre every month now.
